Claire McKinlay is a young physio from County Armagh who last year joined the Dundalk FC backroom team. Claire, seeking work experience, entered the club in the middle of an injury-crisis to assist and take some of the pressure off head physio Paul Cheshire, as the Lilywhites’ campaign faltered with injuries one after another. Having joined midway through the 2007 season, Claire impressed both John Gill and Cheshire, and, as a result, she was appointed to a more formal role for the beginning of 2008. With the senior team training twice a week throughout the season, Claire alternates nights with Cheshire, with the pair working alongside Doctor Samir in Dundalk’s excellent medical team.
