Michael McGinlay (born: 10 December 1987) is a striker who played under Sean Connor at Bohemians during the 2007 season before rejoining forces with his old boss when signing for Dundalk earlier this year. McGinlay, who is a son of Bolton Wanderers legend John McGinlay, played with American side Cincinnati Kings for two seasons, during which time he scored nine goals in 33 appearances. He signed for Bohs in July ‘07 and scored twice in six league outings before, after Connor departed, he fell out of favour under new manager Pat Fenlon last season. As a result, McGinlay left midway through the campaign to join Ballymena United on-loan. Last January, he signed for Dundalk and made his debut when entering as a substitute during the 1-0 loss at Galway United on 13 March.
