Hello and welcome to all our patrons and supporters. First let me take this opportunity to thank you all for your support in 2007 and I’m looking forward to your continued support as the Season 2008 commences.  Things have been hectic for myself at the club since my last blog update, so I now take time out to give you an insight to what’s really been happening behind the scenes on the Commercial side at the club.
Since the beginning of last season I have been extremely busy targeting new business’s and potential sponsors throughout Dundalk and the suburbs and have succeeded in securing high profile companies and exclusive private investors as existing sponsors with our club to date.
Apart from securing all our matches with a sponsor (including matchball ponsors, mascot, player sponsors, etc) in the season 2007, to date Myself, Gerry Matthews (CEO), Paul Johnston (Club P.O) and Paddy Greene (Director) have successfully completed our 2008 fixture list each with a match sponsor.
As I’m kept busy with the hoarding sign renewals and seeking new signage for this season along with additional sponsorship i.e. (at present we are in talks with blue-chip multinational companies receiving a positive vibe at present), I am also in the process of preparing for our popular Stadium Race night which will see the club hosting three consecutive fundraising night’s at the track.  This year we are delighted to announce we will host two-greyhound nights along with one Horserace night, dates are yet to be confirmed, but I’ll keep you all posted as soon as I’m notified of them. This event was immensely successful last season, so I’m relying on all our supporters and patrons in helping us out as best you can to generate much needed finance to the club.
As you are aware we have had a huge interest and result in our Festive Dinner Dance turnover in 2007 from this function, we will host another this season with a possibility of hosting a New Year's Eve night. 
In May this season the club are also delighted to announce to all our Lady followers, that we will host a much awaited Fashion Show, the venue will be held in a yet to be confirmed popular location.  Dates for all the above functions will follow in due course. Off the field undoubtedly you will have noticed the changes our CEO Gerry has made in the renovations to the club giving it an evident makeover, therefore resulting in giving the club the perspective with that of any premiership club.
