Chvedukas: We Must Battle
Dundalk FC were held to a 0-0 draw against St. Patrick’s Athletic FC in the SSE Airtricity League at Richmond Park on Monday night.
Karolis Chvedukas gave his verdict on “a tough game” to dundalkfc.com. The 26-year-old could not celebrate a second win in four days despite the Saints coming under pressure and clearing a couple of goal-line chances.
“For the St. Patrick’s game it is hard when we play every two or three days as there is not a lot of time to rest but everybody must push himself a little bit more, said the Lithuanian international.
“Against Cork I think that everybody seen that our team was very strong. It was a tough game against Cork because there was many battles all over the pitch but I think that everybody done a great job in their positions.
“We must move forward and work harder if we want to be on top. We can’t lose points easily we must take maximum points – it’s hard I know but we must take as many points as we can because they will very important at the end of the season.
“We must look at ourselves and believe that we play good football and we will win every game. Like I said, we can’t lose points easily because in the end maybe we will need these points.
“I hope that Friday will come and we battle on the pitch like we did against Cork and win the game.”
