Dundalk Set For Larne Trip

Dundalk FC travel to Larne on Monday night for a friendly against the Northern Ireland Junior Team. The match kicks off at 7.45. “The Northern Ireland side beat Derry City on Friday night 2-1 in the Brandywell” stated Stephen Kenny, “so we expect this to be a very good game that will help us in our preparations for the season ahead”.

Chris Shields and Tiarnan Mulvenna are not yet ready for action – but a full squad, including new signing goalkeeper Aaron Shanahan, pictured above playing for Dundalk in the 2005 FAI Cup game against Drogheda, who is returning to the club for his third spell – will make the trip to Larne for the match.

Following the match in Larne, the next game is the annual Jim Malone Cup match with Drogheda United in Oriel Park on Friday night.
