Fans From Afar

Dundalk FC’s European adventure captured the imagination of the nation and beyond last season.

The Lilywhites caught the attention of three fans from Plymouth, England. Joe Bracher, and twin sisters Gail & Emma Walker, made the trip to Oriel Park as the popularity for Stephen Kenny’s side continues to grow.

The trio had planned a trip over to watch their new favourite team take on Galway United at Oriel Park on Friday, 14th July – but the fixture has been rescheduled due to the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round clash against Norwegian Champions, Rosenborg BK.

When speaking with dundalkfc.com, Bracher said: “We were desperate to watch Dundalk play a match live. We planned this trip when the fixtures were released and made arrangements to come and watch the Galway game, but unfortunately it got moved due to the team’s success in Europe.

“Sadly, we didn’t get to see the game but we still got to meet the players and have a look around the ground.”
