Mountney Extends Oriel Stay
Dundalk Football Club can confirm that John Mountney has signed a new contract at the club.
Mountney is the joint longest serving player with Chris Shields and has agreed a deal to keep him at Oriel Park for a sixth season.
The Mayo native has made 188 appearances for the club since his debut in 2012 and has played a huge role in the club’s recent success in Europe as well as domestically picking up three league winners medals, an FAI Cup, EA Sports Cup and a President’s Cup.
The 23 year-old joined the club from Mervue United and despite being part of the side which just about staved off relegation in his first year he has had a better time of it since making a clean sweep of honours.
An interview with John will follow on dundalkfc.com in the coming days!
