Ben McLaughlin (born: 15 April 1995) is a versatile player who joined Dundalk before the beginning of the 2011/12 season, initially for the U19 and Youth teams.
McLaughlin previously spent time at Quay Celtic, Glenmuir and Seatown.
Towards the end of the 2011 season, the youngster was twice an unused substitute for the first team, at home to Derry City on 8 October and Drogheda United on 21 October.
He went on to make his competitive debut when starting against Crumlin United in the Leinster Senior Cup on 19 March and featured regularly in the first team thereafter.
On Friday 17 August, McLaughlin travelled to Liverpool to complete a move to English Premiership club Everton on a three-year professional contract.
Ben is a grandson of the legendary Jim McLaughlin and son of former Dundalk player Paul.
