Darius Kierans (born: 5 June 1979) was appointed as assistant manager of Dundalk on 25 January 2011.

Kierans has League of Ireland experience with Drogheda United and Home Farm as a central midfielder but his career was curtailed by injury, and after numerous operations he retired at the age of just 23.

He began coaching the Drogheda Youths at the age of 25 and enjoyed great success, winning a DDSL title, an FAI Cup, a League Cup and a Foyle Cup, as well as reaching the Milk Cup semi-final. Among those to play under Darius in the youth setup at Drogheda was current Sheffield United midfielder David McAllister.

Darius was handed the first-team reins at United Park in difficult circumstances in May 2010 but left the position the following September, before arriving at Oriel Park to join Ian Foster in early 2011. Less than 12 months later, after Foster’s departure, Kierans agreed to continue in his role as assistant to new boss, Seán McCaffrey.
