Finian Farrelly (born: 1 March 1993) is a goalkeeper who joined Dundalk in January 2012, midway through the U19 season.
London-born Farrelly started his football career at Kingscourt Harps in 2000 and went on to spend over ten years there. In 2010/11, he played with Monaghan United in summer leagues, before spending a short time at Saint Francis.
The young stopper was selected for the FAI Emerging Talent squad and spent three years with them between 2008 and 2010. He also represented his school, Inver College, by being selected for the ‘Ulster Schools’ and ‘Club Inter-provincial’ teams. From that, he got selected for a series of international school trials.
Farrelly had been on standby for the Republic of Ireland three times, the last being in August 2011 for the U18 squad against Wales. He had also been called up to the Irish U17 international squad in December 2010.
Last November, he was on trial at Scottish club Livingston.
