‘Rod’s Disco Ball’ (pictured above) jumped to the top of the DFC Trust Quiz League, after Round Two at The Jockeys, which took place last Thursday night, 1 March. The Quiz was sponsored by H.J. Heinz.
‘Rod’s Disco Ball’ finished narrowly behind ‘The Johnsons’ in the opening round at Kennedy’s Bar in February, but this time around they just pipped ‘Glam Tarts’ and ‘Friends of Ali’ who were only two points behind the winners on 63.
The quiz, which saw 14 teams compete, was the second of nine lined up on the first Thursday of each month in venues around the town, with the tenth and final round to be held in Oriel Park in November.
Each event is an individual general knowledge quiz that can be enjoyed on its own with €100 up for grabs, or you can build up points over the course of the year for the overall prize of €300.

Round Three takes place in Byrnes’ on Thursday 5 April.
Entry to each round is just €20 for a team of four, with finger food served.
