A letter from the Chairman
To all supporters of Dundalk FC,
On behalf of myself and the board of Dundalk FC, I wanted to write this open letter to you all, to thank you for your amazing support during our European campaign.
You got behind us in huge numbers, both at home and away, and I want you to know that your efforts are hugely appreciated by myself, the players, the staff and the owners.
At every game we heard your songs and your chants, we saw your flags and banners, we celebrated with you, and your support for the players and staff was something the whole club can be proud of.
Following us to Riga, Baku and Bratislava, you took time off from work and personal commitments, often at great expense, to support this incredible football club during another European adventure, full of spirit and pride.
We sold out Oriel Park, and took huge numbers down to Tallaght for this week’s game, which sadly, proved to be the end of the journey for this year.
You did the club proud, you wore the badge with pride, and you represented Dundalk FC in the best possible manner, winning friends amongst other supporters in Latvia, Azerbaijan and Slovakia.
For that, and your continued support at all domestic games, I want to say thank you. We couldn’t do it without you.
Tonight, our focus returns to domestic matters, with our home game against Finn Harps, then on Monday it’s a cup semi-final against Bohemians. I know you’ll all be there again, cheering the team on to more glory.
Together, we need one big push to the end of the season to ensure we defend our league title and earn the right to go on more European adventures in 2020.
I know you’ll be with us every step of the way.
