With revision and mocks on the horizon, the springtime is a stressful time for Leaving Certificate students but with the uncertainty hanging over this year’s exam because of COVID-19, anxiety levels amongst sixth-year students are on the rise.
A report published last month week by the Irish Secondary Students’ Union (ISSU), found that only four per cent of students supported the holding of a ‘traditional’ Leaving Cert this year with the majority of the 20,00 students who took part in the poll calling for a choice between calculated grades and written exams.
As part of our DFC In the Community Programme, Dundalk striker, UCD graduate and qualified architect David McMillan has agreed to take questions from students in relation to the Leaving Cert, studying, exam tips, life in third-level and education in general.
To submit your question, email gavin.mclaughlin@dundalkfc.com or post it on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page using the hashtag #AskDave before 6pm on Thursday, February 11th. The best question, as selected by David, will win a piece of Dundalk FC merchandise.
