Away To Derry City In FAI Cup
Dundalk FC have been drawn away to Derry City in second round of the Extra.ie FAI Cup.
The draw was made on Monday evening and it pitted us against the Candystripes for the third time in four seasons.
We last met in the FAI Cup in the 2017 first round, when the Lilywhites advanced to round two courtesy of a 4-0 victory.
This season, a 2-0 victory for Dundalk at the Brandywell has been followed by home and away 2-2 draws, with Declan Devine’s side the only team to have taken points off the Lilywhites in the last 16 league matches.
Dundalk qualified for the FAI Cup second round with a 1-0 win over Cobh Ramblers at St Colman’s Park on Saturday evening, whilst Derry City beat Wexford Youths 1-0 at the Brandywell.
We now head to the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium on the weekend of August 25th with date and kick-off time to be confirmed. We will, as ever, announce details on our website and social media channels, once they are confirmed.
