Steven Bradley was presented with the Blackstone Motors Dundalk FC Goal of the Month award for July at our Official Mobility Partner’s showroom on the Inner Relief Road on Tuesday afternoon.

The winger’s stunning effort against Finn Harps at Oriel Park on July 22nd was the unanimous winner, garnering a massive 76.6% of the votes. Patrick Hoban’s effort against Longford Town came second with 9.6% while Keith Ward’s goal against UCD was third with 8.5% of the vote.

Speaking about the goal, the Glasgow native said: “It’s up there with my best. I’ve not really scored a goal like that in professional football. In my younger days, I scored a few ‘worldies’ but it’s definitely up there.”

Since joining from Hibernian on a loan deal at the beginning of the season, Bradley has gone on to collect a number of personal accolades.

As well as winning the club’s Goal of the Month gong, he has also previously been named as the 1903 Supporters Club Player of the Month and the SSE Airtricity SWI Player of the Month.

“That’s why I wanted to come here,” he said. “I wanted to express myself and show people what I could do. I’m enjoying it so far and since I came in February I feel that I’ve become a better player and gained a lot of experience from being in a first-team environment. I’m really enjoying it here.”
