Cheer on the champions for Derry visit
Dundalk FC are back in SSE Airtricity League action on Friday night as Derry City visit Oriel Park for the final fixture between the sides this season.
The Lilywhites have been involved in some fantastic tussles with the Candystripes far this season and this weekend’s game promises to be no different.
With the SSE Airtricity Premier Division title and a place in the FAI Cup final secured last week, Vinny Perth’s men will be pushing hard for a starting place at the Aviva Stadium next month as the club looks to secure a historic treble, whilst Derry will be seeking vital points in the push for European football next season.
Declan Devine’s outfit are the only side to have managed a draw with Dundalk as the Lilywhites have been on a record-breaking run of 30 domestic games unbeaten.
The last four games between the two sides have finished 2-2 after 90 minutes. This includes two encounters in the league, an FAI Cup second round clash – which Georgie Kelly won for Dundalk in the dying minutes of extra time – whilst the most recent clash saw the Lilywhites triumph on penalties in the EA Sports Cup final (highlights below).
Another cracking encounter is on the cards, so make sure you get to Oriel Park on Friday and give Vinny Perth’s squad the support they deserve as they seek to continue their fine run of form to the end of the season.
Tickets are available online now for both home and away supporters, priced as follows:
