Chvedukas Leaves DFC
Dundalk FC can confirm that Karolis Chvedukas has left the club by mutual consent.
Chvedukas joined us from Suduva of Lithuania in January 2018 after spells in Poland and Croatia. He went on to make 12 appearances in all competitions scoring one goal during our Double winning season.
The Lithuanian international made his debut in the snow against Limerick last February and indeed scored with one of his first touches. He was dubbed ‘The Beast from the East’ after the storm which had gripped the country. His appearance against Cork City a few weeks later secured him cult hero status with his performance that night, his all action style and tough tackling.
He also featured in our UEFA Europa League win over Levadia Tallinn back in July at Oriel Park and played a part in our FAI Cup success featuring on the road to the AVIVA Stadium.
He had an interrupted season with injury and underwent ankle surgery towards the end of the season to rectify the problem.
Everyone at Dundalk Football Club would like to thank Karolis for his effort, commitment and professionalism during his time at the club and wish him all the very best in the future.
