Club Statement | COVID-19 Update
On Thursday afternoon, after consultation with the Government, the Department of Health and UEFA, the FAI announced that it was suspending all football activities until March 29th due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
As a result, our upcoming SSE Airtricity League games against St Patrick’s Athletic, Bohemians and Waterford have been postponed, along with all academy and girls’ team matches.
It is obviously disappointing that the season has been put on hold but everybody at Dundalk FC recognises that this is a matter bigger than sport and we all need to play our part in slowing the spread of the coronavirus.
As a result, we would like to inform supporters that we are taking the necessary precautions. The main office and merchandise store at Oriel Park have been closed until further notice and all staff have been instructed to work from home, where possible.
Our online merchandise store will remain open and any enquiries can be made through the club’s various social media channels.
New dates for the postponed games will be confirmed as soon as possible, based on discussions with the FAI and any further guidance from the government. Further information will be provided to supporters when this is available.
This is a rapidly evolving situation and we trust that our supporters will understand that. Protecting public health is a priority and the most important thing is that our supporters, players and staff remain safe.
We urge all of our supporters to follow public health guidelines and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Oriel Park soon.
