FAI Cup
// 12 Sep 2019

Dundalk FC will face Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds in the semi-finals of the 2019 FAI Cup. The tie will take place on Sunday 29 September. Kick-off will be at 5pm and the tie will be televised live on RTE2.

If a replay is required, this will take place at Oriel Park on Tuesday 8 October, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The Lilywhites are aiming for a fifth consecutive appearance at the end-of-season Aviva Stadium showpiece, having faced Cork City in the four previous finals.

The semi-final draw sees Vinny Perth’s men face yet another FAI Cup away trip, after victories at Cobh Ramblers, Derry City and Waterford in the previous rounds.

Their opponents beat Glebe North, Limerick and UCD to reach the semi-finals.

Awaiting the winners at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday 3 November will be either the winners of the quarter-final between Crumlin United and Bohemians, or Shamrock Rovers, who were paired together in the other semi-final.

The draw for the semi-finals was carried out by Keith Fahry on RTE Radio 1’s Morning Ireland programme this morning.
