FILIPPO RETURNS TO TOWN!

Former Dundalk FC head coach Filippo Giovagnoli was back in town on Wednesday night to take part in a live podcast at the Spirit Store.

The Italian, who led Dundalk to the group stages of the UEFA Europa League and an FAI Cup final victory over Shamrock Rovers in 2020, was a special guest on The Pressbox.

Dundalk FC chief operating officer Martin Connolly was also part of the line-up, alongside former local TD and current National Leagues Committee chairman Dermot Ahern, and Dundalk FC supporter and kit collector Derek Pepper.

Ahead of his return to Italy on Thursday afternoon, we caught up with Filippo at the Innisfree Guest House to look back at the highlights of his memorable stint in charge of the club.
