Dundalk FC can confirm that Giuseppe Rossi has left the club by mutual consent.
The 40-year-old arrived at Oriel Park as assistant coach to Filippo Giovagnoli in August 2020 and went on to help the Lilywhites to the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.
Giuseppe also coached the side to FAI Cup final success against Shamrock Rovers at the Aviva Stadium in December 2020, and the FAI President’s Cup at Tallaght Stadium in March of this year.
“I have really enjoyed my time in Dundalk,” said Giuseppe. “It was the most intense 10 months of my life and as a coach, it was a dream come through to reach the group stages of the Europa League last season.
“In my position, you have to develop a strong relationship with the players, and I think I created friendships with them and the backroom staff that will stay with me for life.”
The club would like to thank Giuseppe for his hard work at Oriel Park over the past 10 months, and everyone at the club wishes him and his family the very best of luck in the future.
