Babatunde Owolabi gave Ollie Horgan’s men a half-time lead but the game was turned on its head when two goals in as many minutes from Michael Duffy and Patrick Hoban put the Lilywhites in front with just over an hour played.
Owolabi drew the sides level again when he punished Dundalk on the counter-attack in the 68th minute and although both teams pushed for a winner, a point apiece was probably a fair outcome at the final whistle.
