League season to be extended by a week
The FAI has confirmed that the 2020 SSE Airtricity League season will finish a week later than first scheduled.
The decision to extend the campaign was ratified by the National League Executive Committee due to the recent COVID-19 outbreaks at league clubs
The Premier Division season will now conclude on Sunday, November 8th, a week later than scheduled, whilst the First Division season will now conclude on Tuesday, October 27th.
Our trip to the Ryan McBride Brandywell to face Derry City on Monday, October 19th will now be played at the earlier time of 5.45pm.
The SSE Airtricity League game with St Patrick’s Athletic, which was postponed on Friday night due to a case of COVID-19 in the Pat’s camp, will now be played at Richmond Park on Sunday, November 1st at 5.45pm.
Our final SSE Airtricity League fixture of the season, at home to Sligo Rovers, will now take place on Sunday, November 8th at 7.30pm.
Dates for the Extra.ie FAI Cup quarter-finals have also been scheduled with Dundalk’s last-eight tie against Bohemians pencilled in for Saturday, November 14th. A kick-off time will be announced in due course.
