Let’s Paint the Town Black & White
The biggest day in the Irish football calendar – the Extra.ie FAI Cup final – takes place on Sunday 3 November and Dundalk FC are calling on all supporters and local businesses to #PaintTheTownBlackAndWhite as we build up to the big day.
For the fifth time in successive seasons, Dundalk will be lining up in the showpiece event at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, as we take on Shamrock Rovers with a historic treble up for grabs.
The FAI Cup final stirs excitement like no other game and, for each of the last four years, Dundalk supporters have got behind their team for the big game in huge numbers.
Houses and businesses have been decked out in black and white in the build-up to the cup final day, before the town empties on final day itself as thousands descend upon Lansdowne Road.
We want this year to be no different and, with our opponents expected to bring a large crowd with them, your support will be more important than ever, as Vinny Perth’s side aim to make history.
Oriel Park is now decked out in black and white flags and bunting ahead of the big game and we want you to do the same, so let’s paint the town black and white as we gear up towards the big day.
Once your home, workplace, school or sports club is decked out in Dundalk FC colours, send us your photos and/or videos via Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #PaintTheTownBlackandWhite.
Alternatively, email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll share them across our social media channels to show the squad your support.
We’ve got three Dundalk FC signed jerseys to give away to those supporters who get involved: one to the best-dressed business, a second to the best-dressed house, whilst every single submission will go into a draw for the third signed jersey.
So get your name in the hat, show the lads your support ahead of the biggest game of the season and let’s #PaintTheTownBlackandWhite!
