Marty Shields R.I.P: Refreshments After Funeral
The funeral of Marty Shields will take place in St Nicholas’ Church on Wednesday morning at 11.00. All our welcome to return to the Lilywhite Lounge following the funeral where refreshments will be available. All proceeds raised will go to supporting the funeral arrangements.

Everybody at Dundalk Football Club is deeply saddened by the death of Marty Shields. Marty was a true Lilywhite who would travel all over the country to see Dundalk in action regardless of our league position. Marty was known for his humour, kindness and enthusiasm that made him one of our most popular and respected supporters among the players and management over many years. Everybody at Dundalk Football Club extends our deepest sympathy to Marty’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Tonight’s match between Dundalk and Drogheda United will be played in Marty’s memory – we know he would like all Dundalk supporters to support the team tonight as passionately as he would do every week.

The death has occurred of Marty SHIELDS
530 Ashling Park, Dundalk, Louth
Suddenly at his home. Beloved husband of Sheila and cherished father of Tracy, Patrick and Glenda. Marty will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, children, grandaughter Kaitlyn, brother James, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends of Oriel Park.
Marty’s family have requested that mourners attending the funeral wear Dundalk F.C or Leeds United A.F.C jerseys or colours.
Reposing at his home from 9 o’clock this evening Monday until 9 o’clock Tuesday night. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30 (walking) to St Nicholas Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery.
