Dundalk FC retained the Malone Cup with a 4-2 penalty shoot out victory over Drogheda United at FAI HQ, Abbotstown on Friday afternoon. The Jim Malone Cup Final, scheduled for Friday 30th January at Sullivan and Lambe Park, has been postponed due to heavy rain over the last couple of days and poor pitch conditions. Unfortunately, Oriel Park is not yet available to host the match due to ongoing ground works. Supporters who have purchased tickets will be refunded by Drogheda United. The match will now take place at a neutral venue and will be played behind closed doors.

Saturday’s Clean Up Day at Oriel Park highlighted the strength of Dundalk FC as a community club, with a significant number of supporters volunteering their time and effort to improve the club’s facilities and surrounding areas. Executive Director Chris Clinton  praised the collective effort: “The local support for this effort was outstanding. This is the way forward.
