A superb four goal haul from Molly Williams ensured Dundalk’s place in the next round of the cup as they defeated Home Farm 4-3 away from home on Sunday morning.

Bernard Freeman’s side had a second just four minutes later, as Magee once again set up Williams, who made no mistake to put the visitors 2-0 up with less than 15 minutes gone in the first half.

Home Farm began a fightback as the second half got underway, and soon found themselves drawing level, scoring three goals in quick succession to bring the sides back to square one.

Both sides pushed for a winner, but neither side managed to score before the full time whistle as the game went into extra time.

Dundalk regained control as extra time began, with Home Farm struggling to keep pace with the Lilywhites. They continued to push for a winner, and it finally arrived late in extra time, as Annie Stanfield crossed for Williams to bury her effort in the net and secure a brilliant 4-3 win to progress to the next round of the cup.
