Dundalk FC proudly supported Shine’s Green Ribbon Campaign at last Friday’s game against Bray Wanderers. Players and staff wore green ribbons during the warm-up, while volunteers handed out ribbons to fans as they entered Oriel Park.

"Shine manages the national stigma-reduction programme for Ireland. Our annual Green Ribbon Campaign is an important part of this work.
Mental health stigma remains a significant barrier to treatment and recovery for individuals and their families with mental illness. It leads to discrimination, social exclusion, and a lack of support, exacerbating mental health problems and increasing the risk of loss to suicide.
Shine’s Green Ribbon Campaign is our biggest and most high-profile annual campaign. It is a key opportunity for us to raise awareness and lead the way on stigma reduction around mental illness in Ireland. While the campaign runs throughout the year, September is the focus month for the majority of our awareness-raising events and activities."
By standing together and wearing the Green Ribbon, Dundalk FC and our supporters helped raise awareness and show solidarity with individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.
