WDL Side Welcome North-East Credit Union Guests!
We were delighted to welcome guests of our Women's team sponsors North-East Credit Union to Oriel Park on Saturday morning.
The group of young aspiring players were treated to a stadium tour, before heading to the video analysis room and gym for a brief overview of the facilities used by both men’s and women’s teams.
In the Dundalk FC Community Centre, the group were met by WDL Head Coach Phil Cox who spoke about how his squad made use of these with both his own coaches and external speakers.
Members of the squad themselves then met the group before providing a set of fun coaching sessions using the indoor facilities.
Finally, it was a chance for the tables to be turned as the players faced questions from the group on such topics as their favourite goal scored, favourite player to play with and their journey so far.
Our WDL team were then presented with posters in a show of support for their final home league game of the regular season against Shelbourne on Sunday - a game which the group were invited to attend.
Finally, Academy Director Tom Mohan thanked all the girls for coming, spoke about their coaching and wished them all the best for the future.
A huge thanks to Naomi from the North-East Credit Union for organising the event and to Dundalk FC's Nita, Jamie, Tom, Kristine, Nigel, Jade, Phil and the WDL squad for all their efforts in making it such a positive experience.
