New Contract: Luke Mulligan

Dundalk FC are delighted to announce that Luke Mulligan has signed a full-time professional contract with the club for the next two seasons.
Luke has been at the club since he was 13 and is the captain of the Under 20s, who have enjoyed a strong season. He completed his Leaving Certificate this year and moved into full-time training once his exams finished.

Luke said: “It’s great to sign a new deal and be fully committed to the club for another two years. I’ve been at the club since I was 13 and couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else, so I’m delighted.
“The move to full-time training was tough at the start, balancing my Leaving Cert and training, but now that school’s finished I’ve loved it and I can feel myself getting better each session.

“The U20s season has been good, personally and as a team. Grimsey, Neil and Joe are doing a great job and I think the results on the pitch are showing that.”
As an academy graduate, Luke was also pleased to see four more academy players handed their first professional contracts: Jamie Grace, Marcel Gora, Jordan Vocella and Tunde Anunlopo.
“It’s great to see them rewarded for their performances in the academy,” Luke added.
“It shows the direction the club is going in, and it’s great for the academy players to see that there’s a pathway.”

Manager Ciaran Kilduff said: “We’re delighted that Luke is committing his future to the club. He’s a young player who has just finished his Leaving Cert and has been with the club a long time. He deserves this opportunity, and now we’ll get to see him mature and develop.”
Dundalk Football Club would like to thank Peter at Halpin Sports Partnership for his assistance with this process.
