We are delighted to announce that Sam Durrant has extended his stay at Oriel Park.

The 21-year-old arrived from Sheffield Wednesday in August and made 12 appearances for the club towards the back end of the 2023 campaign, scoring two goals.

“I’m delighted to be here for another year,” said Durrant. “It’s a great opportunity for me and I want to have a big impact on the team and help us to push for trophies.

“I didn’t expect to settle in as quickly as I did and that probably allowed me to do well but I want to kick on even more next season and show the fans what I’m really about as a player.”

Lilywhites head coach Stephen O’Donnell said he was delighted that the club had activated the option to keep Durrant at Oriel Park.

“Sam came here in mid-season and gave us a real spark and I’m really looking forward to working with him when he has a full pre-season under his belt.

“He’s a player that can excite fans, he takes players on and he is very good in one-against-one situations.

“We want to improve him and make him better and we believe he will really kick on next year.”
