Dundalk FC vs Sligo Rovers | Friday 18th of July, Oriel Park
Dundalk FC is delighted to welcome Dole Ireland as the official match sponsor for this week’s FAI Cup game at Oriel Park. The sponsorship marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership, with Dole Ireland coming on board as the club’s Official Snack Partner and Official Boys Academy Sponsor.
This collaboration deepens a relationship that stretches back decades and unites two organisations with a shared commitment to health, youth development, and community wellbeing. As part of the agreement, Dole will support the club’s Boys Academy by providing healthy snacks, nutritional education, and increased visibility across kits and club events. Fans will also enjoy the benefits of this partnership, with Dole smoothies available to sample at selected matches throughout the season.
“Dole has always had deep roots in Dundalk,” said Nita Whelan, Head of Operations at Dundalk FC. “We’re proud to formalise that connection through this new sponsorship. Their focus on health and youth development mirrors our own priorities. We’re excited to work together to fuel the next generation of Dundalk talent, both on and off the pitch.”
Dole’s connection to Dundalk dates back more than seventy years, with the company continuing to play a vital role in the area through employment and longstanding support for local initiatives. That commitment was underlined by Vincent Dolan, VP of Global Marketing, Sustainability, and Corporate Communications at Dole plc, who said: “We’ve been proud supporters of our hometown club since the 1950s. We’re delighted to continue that tradition by partnering with Dundalk Football Club as the Official Snack Partner and Boys Academy Sponsor.
Fruit and sport are both important parts of a healthy lifestyle, and this partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting wellbeing in the community.”
Through this new agreement, Dole will provide nutritious snack options at academy training sessions, holiday camps, and community events. The partnership will also feature educational initiatives to promote healthy habits from a young age, as well as school visits that encourage good nutrition and active living.
Matchdays will benefit too, with fans invited to try Dole smoothies at selected home fixtures, details of which will be shared soon on the club’s official channels.
This partnership forms part of Dundalk FC’s broader strategy to strengthen the pathway for young players. Nutrition is a key part of player development, and with Dole’s support, the club is better placed to build a sustainable and supportive environment for its academy and the wider community.
Everyone at Dundalk FC extends a warm welcome to Dole Ireland as today’s match sponsor and looks forward to a successful and fruitful partnership, both on and off the pitch.
