Today, 21 August 2026, Dundalk FC celebrates a historic milestone: 100 years since the club played its first-ever League of Ireland fixture, away to Fordsons of Cork.
This video commemorates that journey — a century of pride, passion and progress.
For tonight’s centenary fixture against Galway United at Oriel Park, Dundalk will wear a special one-off home jersey created to mark the occasion.
The jersey features 26 silver pinstripes, with each line representing one of the club’s major honours — also reflected in the woven commemorative patch.
The crest incorporates the town’s three Martlets: mythical, footless birds that are forever in flight and never stop moving forward. It is a fitting symbol of Dundalk FC’s spirit and the club’s enduring connection to the town.
Inside the collar is a tribute to Dundalk-born legend Barry Kehoe, while “1926–2026” is embroidered on the back of the neck to honour the club’s centenary year.
