The popular Kev and Pico Show will host a live podcast in McAlester’s Bar, Bridge Street on Saturday, January 28th with all proceeds going to the Dundalk FC Harry Taaffe Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme.
The podcast, which was created by local men Kieran Pickering and Kevin Carolan, will feature interviews with local tattoo artist and actor Baz Black along with entrepreneur and marathon runner Stevey J, who recently set a new world record for 60 ultra marathons in 60 days.
Local band The Stormers will also be on hand to provide live music while a raffle with some brilliant prizes will also be held on the night
“The show is for charity so there is no charge to attend,” said Kieran, “but we do hope that people will be generous on the night and donate to our nominated charity with is The Harry Taaffe Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme.”
Dundalk players Peter Cherrie and Ryan O’Kane have been guests on the podcast in recent months and Kieran said that himself and Kevin were delighted to link up with the club again to raise funds for the programme.
“After speaking to Dundalk FC, we chose the Dundalk FC Harry Taaffe Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme as the charity for this event as we felt it was an important one to highlight.
“We all know how tough times can be, especially during the month of January, so we want people to know there is help available to them and we hope to bring a smile to everyone’s face when we record the live podcast.”
The Kev and Pico Show gets underway at 9pm on Saturday night. A GoFundMe page has been set up here with all donations going to the Dundalk FC Harry Taaffe Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme.
