Two weeks after picking up their first win of the campaign, our WU17 team produced another excellent display in a 1-1 draw against Finn Harps at Oriel Park on Saturday.

Dundalk FC WU17 1-1 Finn Harps
EA SPORTS LOI WU17 Academy Group A

Phil Cox’s side controlled the game from start to to finish and were unlucky not to end the game with three points and a number of goals to their name.

In the end, they had to make do with just the one but it was a cracking one, with Meena McConnell showing great control to take the ball down and score after 31 minutes.

Harps’ equaliser arrived just past the hour mark when Sienna Bradley fired a penalty goalwards. Dundalk goalkeeper Emalie McDonald looked to have made a fabulous save to deny her but the referee adjudged the ball to have crossed the line and it ended in a point apiece.
