Arubi Transfer To Burton Albion Confirmed

Dundalk FC can confirm that an agreement has been reached with EFL League One side Burton Albion for the transfer of Gbemi Arubi.

Gbemi arrived at Oriel Park in December 2024 following his departure from Waterford FC, having previously featured for Shelbourne.

He made his Dundalk debut in the Leinster Senior Cup against Usher Celtic and scored his first goal for the Club with a dramatic last-minute equaliser against Bray Wanderers on 9 May. Gbemi played a pivotal role in Dundalk’s First Division title-winning campaign, scoring 12 goals in 28 appearances.

This season, he made an immediate impact on the Club’s return to the Premier Division, finding the net on the opening night at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium. He went on to score a further seven goals as Ciarán Kilduff’s side made a strong start to the campaign.

Last month, Gbemi made his Ireland U21 debut in Croatia.
