DFC Host Gambling Harm Awareness Session

Dundalk FC today hosted a Gambling Harm Awareness Programme session at Oriel Park, delivered in partnership with EPIC Global Solutions and the League of Ireland.

The workshop was attended by all players and staff, and was delivered in conjunction with Dominic Matteo and Jess Matteo, as part of the League of Ireland’s newly launched education initiative to proactively help prevent gambling-related harm within Irish football.

EPIC Global Solutions, an award-winning consultancy working across elite sport internationally, is leading the rollout of the programme across League of Ireland clubs. The training is designed to support players and staff by improving awareness of gambling harm, encouraging informed decision-making, and reinforcing the importance of integrity within the game.

This initiative represents a first-of-its-kind commitment within the League of Ireland, with sessions delivered face-to-face by former professional athletes who can share lived experience and practical guidance.
