DFC Welcome The Liverpool FC Foundation

Dundalk FC were delighted to welcome coaches from the Liverpool FC Foundation to Oriel Park on Tuesday afternoon. 

With plenty of historical links between the two clubs, it was great to see members of the Merseyside club back at the Carrick Road venue for a coaching session with local footballers.

Under the watchful eye of new Academy Director Tom Mohan, over forty youngsters from the Louth Schoolgirls U12s, Dundalk Schoolboys U12s and members of the Dundalk FC Pre Academy took part in a series of drills and games with the Liverpool FC Foundation coaches.

The Liverpool FC Foundation provides support to communities and clubs throughout the world and is committed to tackling social inequality through the medium of football related activities both on and off the field. This Activation Event is the commencement of a developing partnership between the clubs.

Dundalk FC were also delighted to welcome Dáire Gorman to the club on such a special day. Monaghan man Dáire, a worldwide sensation with 175 million views of his visit to the Liverpool FC Training Centre in 2023, spoke to participants about the visit where he met former manager Jurgen Klopp and a number of players. His story was inspirational to both players and coaches and a reminder of the positive power of football.
