DS Football Update

Our Down Syndrome Futsal team had their first runout of the season as preparations are in full swing ahead of July's Cairdeas Cup.

Missing a number of regular squad members, the team travelled to Dublin to take on Drogheda United, St Patrick’s Athletic and hosts Bohemians.

First up was a 1-1 draw against our Louth rivals with Kevin Trainer on target for the Lilywhites as the points were shared.

In the second game, a brace from Republic of Ireland international and skipper Jamie Linden against St Patrick’s Athletic saw three points go to the Carrick Road outfit, under the stewardship of Noah, Orla and Logan.

Finally, we faced home side Bohemians as Johnathan Evans found the net for Dundalk FC in another 1-1 at the DCU Sports Centre.
