Dundalk FC 1-2 Drogheda United

Dundalk were left to rue a missed opportunity as Drogheda United came from behind to win 2-1 at Oriel Park, with Shane Farrell's double in the closing stages turning the Louth derby on its head.

Gbemi Arubi had given the Lilywhites a deserved lead, latching onto a Keith Buckley pass that took two deflections before running through on goal. Tyreke Wilson almost added a second before the break, only for Luke Dennison to save well.

Dundalk held that lead into the second half, but Drogheda came out with more purpose after the restart, and Enda Minogue was called into action to deny Thomas Oluwa twice from breaks. The visitors' pressure told in the 73rd minute when Farrell curled a free-kick beyond Minogue from the edge of the box. Twelve minutes later, with the game finely poised, a corner was only half-cleared and Farrell reacted quickest to fire home the winner.
