Dundalk FC v Bohemian FC: Preview

Dundalk FC return to Premier Division action on Friday night when they welcome Bohemian FC to Oriel Park. Kick-Off is 7.45. Following a disappointing week prior to the international break, Dundalk manager Ciaran Kilduff welcomed the opportunity for longer preparation period ahead of the match:
"The international break has given us a valuable opportunity to reset, get some work done on the training pitch and hopefully welcome a few players back into contention as we head into the final stretch of the season.
"The lads have worked extremely hard throughout this week and there has been a real determination within the group to put things right. We know there are still four games remaining and a lot to play for. While recent results have been frustrating, we remain in a position where we can look up the table and aim to finish the season as strongly as possible.
"It's important that we don't lose sight of the progress that has been made this year. There have been plenty of positives throughout the campaign and, when you consider where we started at the beginning of the season, I don't think anyone would have turned down the position we find ourselves in now. This is an honest, hard-working group of players who have given everything for the club, and they deserve enormous credit for that.
"Of course, we are ambitious and we want more. We want to finish the season with a real sense of momentum and make a strong account of ourselves over these final four matches. That challenge begins tonight.
"Bohemians arrive at Oriel Park chasing their own objectives at the top end of the table. They are a quality side with ambitions of competing for honours, and that tells you all you need to know about the task ahead of us. We have great respect for them, but our emphasis will be on ourselves. When we have been at our best this season, we have shown exactly what we are capable of, and we need to get back to those standards.
"This is our second-last home game of the campaign and we want to give our supporters a performance they can be proud of. The backing we have received throughout the season, both home and away, has been outstanding and it is something the players never take for granted.
We look forward to seeing a big crowd at Oriel Park and, as always, your support can make a real difference."
Team News Shane Tracey is suspended, while Trevor Clarke, Tyreke Wilson and JR Wilson continue to be assessed.
