Dundalk FC is delighted to announce the signing of Dara Keane from UCD AFC.

The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a multi-year contract with the club.

“It’s a proud moment for me to sign for Dundalk FC,” Keane told dundalkfc.com after completing his move to Oriel Park.

“To sign for a club of Dundalk FC’s stature is a very special feeling. It’s a really exciting challenge and a challenge that I’m looking forward to. I feel like it’s come at the right time and stage in my career and I’m just eager to get going.

“Obviously coming from UCD, education sometimes stood in the way of committing all of my time to football, but now that I’ve closed that chapter off I can’t wait to get going and throw 100% at football here in Dundalk.”

“I’ve had a good few conversations with Stephen O’Donnell and some of the lads around the club and it’s the right place for me to play my football.

“We’ve spoken about the club’s ambition, ideas and style of play and everything aligned with my own personal self and goals. I can’t wait to meet the lads and push on with this.

“I’ve been impressed with Dundalk FC ever since our first conversation. Everything about the club and what it represents in terms of the people, the facilities, and the town have impressed me. This fuels me to work hard and do my very best for the club.”
