Dundalk MU15s maintained their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Finn Harps at Oriel Park, making it seven games without defeat.
The hosts made the perfect start and went in front after just eight minutes when captain Logan Hyland arrived to finish from an Aaron O’Brien cross. The same combination struck again on the half-hour mark, with O’Brien once more providing the delivery for Hyland to make it 2-0 heading into the break.

Dundalk continued to control matters in the second half and put the game beyond doubt in the 68th minute. Artjoms Lubimovs applied the finishing touch after excellent work by Braiden McCarney to extend the lead. Lubimovs then grabbed his second of the afternoon when he latched onto a superb pass from Tadgh Maples and calmly slotted the ball under the Finn Harps goalkeeper.

It was an excellent all-round team performance from Dundalk, with the substitutes also making a strong impact as the Lilywhites sealed another important win.

After the game, manager Stephen Todd said: “Finn Harps are a good team with real attacking threat but the lads all won their individual battles today and 4 goals and a clean sheet is the reward for that. That win brings us within touching distance of qualifying for the elite stage in the summer. We’re relishing the thought of next week’s Louth derby in Oriel.”
