Dundalk MU17s continued their outstanding start to the season with a 3-0 win over Derry City at Oriel Park on Sunday, making it eight victories from eight games.
The opening half was a closely contested affair, with both sides creating chances as they looked to gain control. Dundalk found another level after the break, however, and took command in a much more open second half.

The breakthrough arrived in the 52nd minute when Tomiwa Anunlopo provided the assist for Noah Boylan to open the scoring.
Dundalk doubled their advantage in the 74th minute with an excellent team move. Tomiwa picked up possession at the halfway line and drove forward past several Derry players before carrying the ball into the box. He then found Feranmi Makinwa, who laid it off for Taiye Odusanya to fire emphatically into the top corner.
The Lilywhites completed the scoring late on when Tunde Anunlopo beat his man and was brought down in the penalty area. Tunde stepped up himself and confidently converted the spot-kick into the top corner to seal another impressive win.

Dundalk now turn their attention to next week’s clash with Bohemians at Oriel Park.
After the game, manager Stephen Hutchinson said: “The lads have put an enormous effort in all season. It has been very pleasing seeing the individual and collective development of this squad over this period. They represent our club in the right fashion and personally I can't speak highly enough of this young group of players.”
