Report: St Patrick's Athletic 4-0 Dundalk FC

Dundalk FC suffered a heavy defeat at Richmond Park on Friday night as St Patrick’s Athletic ran out 4–0 winners.

The hosts started brightly and opened the scoring on 20 minutes through Romal Palmer after Conor Kearns had initially produced a strong save and Dundalk battled to clear their lines. St Pat’s doubled their advantage six minutes later when Sean Hoare headed in from a corner.

Dundalk responded well before the break and went close when Eoin Kenny drove forward and forced Joseph Anang into a fine save. However, St Pat’s struck early in the second half to make it 3–0 through Zach Elbouzedi. Dundalk went close on several occasions with Gbemi Arubi and Eoin Kenny going close, but the fourth arrived on 82 minutes as substitute Aidan Keena finished from close range.
