Dundalk FC can confirm that Rayhaan Tulloch’s loan spell at the club has come to an end.

The 22-year-old arrived from West Bromwich Albion in February and went on to make 19 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and registering one assist.

“Rayhann fitted in seamlessly with the players and the staff and he is an exceptional talent who made a big contribution to the team over the last six months,” said Dundalk FC Head of Football Operations, Brian Gartland.

“We would like to thank West Bromwich Albion for helping us bring Rayhaan to the League of Ireland and we wish him the very best of luck in the future.”

Tulloch said his goodbyes after watching Dundalk’s 2-0 win over Shamrock Rovers on Friday night and he said he would always have fond memories of his stint at Oriel Park.

“It’s been a really enjoyable experience, especially trying something new,” he said. “I didn’t really know much about the League of Ireland, but it’s been challenging and it’s been fun.

“It’s a very different league,” he added. “Every team is capable of beating every other team on any given day, as you can see from the league table. It’s crazy. I genuinely don’t think there’s an easy game.

“I scored a few goals and I played a good chunk of football, which is what I was looking for from the move. This is the first time I’ve really played consistent, men’s football. I needed that and hopefully, my time at Dundalk will help push me in the right direction with my career.”

Tulloch said his first goal for Dundalk, in the 5-0 win over St Patrick’s Athletic back in March, coupled with his equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Shelbourne at Tolka Park in April, a strike that was voted as the club’s Goal of the Month, were two moments that would stick with him.

“The goal against Shels was a lovely moment but I think my first goal against Pat’s was the memory I’ll always keep. That was the perfect start for me at Dundalk, really.

“We also had those late wins against Cork and Drogheda…I’ve never experienced stuff like that before in my career, so they are things I’ll always remember.”

Everyone at the club would like to thank Rayhaan for his contribution and we wish him the very best of luck in the future.
