Dundalk FC CEO Peter Halpin has issued the following update about the club’s recruitment of a new first-team manager.

As is widely known, we are currently searching for a new first-team manager.

This is a hugely important appointment for Dundalk FC and we are aware that we need to keep the lines of communication open with you, our supporters, and keep you updated about the process involved.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the new appointment since Stephen O’Donnell and Patrick Cregg left Oriel Park last week.

Some of the names being mentioned are accurate, some are totally inaccurate and we have also had some expressions of interest from names that have not been mentioned anywhere!

The individual we are seeking must fulfil a list of criteria and hold a valid UEFA Pro-Licence – or equivalent – and, preferably, have relevant managerial experience in the League of Ireland, or at a similar level.

CVs, along with supporting certificates of qualification and a cover letter, should be sent to Dundalk FC CEO, Peter Halpin, at peter.halpin@dundalkfc.com

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday, April 24th.

When we have news to share, then you, our supporters, will be the first to know.

In the meantime, the interim management team of Liam Burns and Brian Gartland will prepare the squad for Friday’s game with Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds and we would ask you to get behind the lads in the same manner as you did at Dalymount Park on Monday night.

C’mon The Town!
Peter Halpin
