Over 200 children from Co Louth were at Oriel Park on Thursday for the finals of the Louth Primary Schools nine-a-side competition.

The competition was organised by the Louth Primary Schools nine-a-side committee under the stewardship of Declan McGrath from De La Salle College Dundalk, who also supplied the referees.

Dundalk FC community officer and first-team coach Liam Burns, along with FAI Development Officer for Louth Mick Neville, Colin Clerkin (FAI) and Liam Callan (Albion Rovers) were also on hand to present trophies and medals to the winning teams.

Teams who competed included Dulargy NS, Scoil Naomh Bhríd Omeath, Scoil Naomh Lorcain Omeath, Rampark NS, Redeemer Boys, Redeemer Girls, Bay Estate, St Joseph’s Dundalk, St Francis Blackrock, Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal Kilkerley, Scoil Phádraig Naofa Kilcurry, Louth Village NS, St Peter’s Dromiskin and Gaelscoil Dún Dealgan.
