Enda Minogue Re-Signs for 2026!

Dundalk FC goalkeeper Enda Minogue says he is “absolutely delighted” to have renewed his contract with the club for another season, describing the decision to stay at Oriel Park as an easy one.

“Since the season ended I knew I wanted to stay in Dundalk,” Minogue said. “I’m delighted that I’m still here for another year.”

First Season Ups and Downs

In hindsight, Minogue acknowledges that his first season at the club exceeded his original expectations. While promotion was always the clear target, the journey brought growth both on and off the pitch.

“We all came in and we knew the goal was to get the club back into the Premier Division,” he said. “The growth last year – on the pitch, off the pitch, the fans, everything – made last year very special.”

Individually, the season had its challenges. Minogue enjoyed a strong start before injury halted his momentum, but he feels ready to move forward: “The first three games went fantastic. I was enjoying my football – it’s the best I’ve ever felt in my career,” he said. “Then obviously the injury and the surgery sent me back a little bit. I’m hoping to put all that behind me this season and really knuckle down and go for it.”

Pre-season has given him the chance to reset, and he’s feeling positive about where he’s at physically and mentally. “I feel fit, I’m flying again, there’s no niggle in the hand, and we’re ready to go again,” Minogue said, praising the support he received from staff and teammates during his recovery.

2026 Challenge

Minogue believes last season’s campaign has set the tone for what’s ahead. “We know every game is going to be a battle and we’ll have to fight for every point,” he said. “But with the players we have and the support from the fans, I really think we can put together a good season.” For Minogue, Dundalk is a club that belongs competing at the top level – and he’s excited to be part of the next chapter.
