Shamrock Rovers v Dundalk Preview

After Friday’s 1-1 draw with Drogheda United, Dundalk travel to Tallaght Stadium on Monday night to face reigning champions Shamrock Rovers. The match kicks-off at 8pm is live on LOITV.

Dundalk are unbeaten heading into the third game of the season, but will feel they could have more points on the board after conceding late equalisers in each of the opening two matches.

Ciaran Kilduff's View

“We were gutted on Friday night — very disappointed. We had an opportunity to kill the game off, but we were dominant for large periods and there were huge positives to take. There were a lot of really strong performances.

“The Premier Division is relentless, and it’s going to be a huge challenge to go to Tallaght Stadium on Monday night. We’ve made a very good account of ourselves in our first two games and you can see the pride in this group and around the club as we make the most of our return to the Premier Division. I believe we can compete with anybody in this league. We’re unbeaten so far, but Shamrock Rovers will be another huge test.”
